Below the Tearline: Trump Shooting Hotwash

hello again everyone and welcome back to the underground what a weekend it has been hasn't it I know everyone's pretty busy uh I myself and procrastinating on a lot of other work I should be doing but I thought that since these kind of thoughts were fresh in my mind I would go ahead and throw together a very informal unorganized unscripted sort of hot wash after action review for some of the things that I think would be beneficial to explain uh some of the things that I did some of the things that wrote some of the things that I checked following the uh developing story of Donald Trump's assassination attempt so uh this is going to be a long one uh I don't know how this is going to work out but I'm recording this just for posterity sake I'm recording this on Monday uh the Monday after the uh incident now that I've had Sunday to kind of think about things and kind of get some of my notes together and start looking through you know some of the points for improvement I thought I would go ahead and push this out quickly uh even though o over time over the next few months I'm definitely going to start incorporating some of this stuff into other content as well so this is just kind of a very raw below the tear line sort of look at things and uh I thought that this might be helpful for some of you so the event that shook the world the attempted assassination of Donald Trump via sniper in Butler Pennsylvania uh I am sure that there will be vastly more qualified people with a lot more time on their hands to talk about the details and and get into the nitty-gritty of the actual incident itself so I'm not going to do that for now um I think that uh yeah there's there's probably going to be quite a lot of saturation of information uh on that for for a while so I'm going to wait till things calm down and then see if there's any lessons learned that we can kind of um pick apart from that so for now let's talk about the parts of the event that might be a little bit more useful for the average person out there um basically the strategy of there's very important very Earth shattering um event some sort of current event that's going on and it's time sensitive and we don't know if this is an indicator of something more substantial or more serious so we need to go to work uh even though we may not be personally invested involved or in any way connected to the incident itself we still as a prepared citizen may want to invest some time into figuring out what's going on and figuring out uh some information for other people who may not have the time that we do right so for those of you in that sort of unique situation where uh people tend to look to you for either information or advice or leadership or something like that when something's going down around the world one of the things that may help you out a lot is what I've already kind of created this is the uh basic incident response page uh in the ghostnet plan of course all these links will be below you can download this for free printed out at home uh you don't have have to be involved in HF radio you don't have to be a licensed amateur to download this page and look at it and this is sort of my uh very very hastily thrown together stop Gap sort of um watered down incident command system structure uh so that it's more familiar to a you know just the average person but it's also coming at things from more of a Communications angle so this entire page here is designed with one goal in mind something exactly like this something where an event goes down somewhere in the world that has potentially strategic implications okay potentially a a Homeland uh defense threat most people will be out of range of the incident itself but they're still going to want to track it look at it battle track it things like that this is what this page is designed for this exact sort of scenario so if you just run down this I've gone over this in other videos as well but you can just read the page yourself uh this is roughly what I started with so just kind of cutting right to the chase with regards to my initial notification of the incident uh I was notified by via a variety of means all sort of at once um but that there in lies the first uh sort of point of improvement for myself many of you know uh that I am exceptionally hard to get a hold of of uh nowadays I you know I'm sort of like a digital hermit when it comes to to comms in the internet world so you know I I spent a lot of time you know away from uh immediate Communications cell coverage in my area is very very bad uh where I live so I don't tend to use my cell phone a whole lot I don't even have a smartphone anymore uh that has data on it so um most of the communication that that I use is going to come from a Wi-Fi hotspot uh or or it's going to come if I'm say out of range of that Wi-Fi hotspot it's going to come via radio or mesh tastic so that's kind of the things that I rely on nowadays for everyday coms now the reason I bring this up is because in classic fashion in classic fashion the very minute that something important happens I'm away from my computer right so I was actually ping at the time and it is only happen stance it was only happen stance that I wasn't out you know rucking or something like that and I was away from my Wi-Fi hotspot so I was still within range of my uh Wi-Fi hotspots so that was good that I got these notifications otherwise I would not have had I would have probably been an hour behind everybody else so um that's you know something on me I need to figure out a better way uh for I mean my family can communicate with me fairly easily because it's you know line of sight coms is very decently easy in my area um but uh for like the the interwebs you know getting notification that something's going on in Pennsylvania I got to find a better way of doing that uh because Mo almost all the comms methods that I have uh get clogged up with Spam pretty quickly or they're just useless or I'll get 3,000 people sending me you know messages that that aren't aren't super um super accurate and I just don't have I just don't have the time to to go through a lot of this stuff but anyway I will figure something out um but it's just kind of one of those things where you know I can't live on my computer I mean I do most of the time anyway but still um there are going to be times when uh I'm not within self- coverage and an World incident goes down and I need to be able to figure out what's going on so that's on me uh to figure that out because otherwise it it it could have been uh I could have lost a lot of time but anyway you know of course my family could have gotten a hold of me as always but still like you know satellite Messengers they're great they're fantastic but I I can't wait 10 minutes to get a text saying hey something's going on you know 10 minutes is a lot better than an hour you know but still uh it would be great if I could figure out a way for uh internet based stuff to to kind of come in a little bit easier um but in any case just kind of being aware that the time when you decide to not take your radio on a run that's when something's going to happen the time where you decide to I just I'll leave my you know mesh tastic you know back in the house I don't need to take it out to the garden with me you know that that's the time where somebody needs to send you a text right um that sort of thing so just something to keep in mind for those of you who are in kind of a similar situation I know that's that's kind of a weird comms sort of arrangement but um that's kind of what I I have to use uh at the moment so just kind of working down the list here of this incident command structure um or basic incident response sort of checklist if want it's just kind of a Rough Guide um once I figured out something was going on in Pennsylvania of course stopped everything I was doing started working the issue uh but one of the very first things that you want to always do no matter what the incident is no matter where it's at you want to make sure that this is not going to be a physical harm issue to yourself right so you want to make sure that your physical security is guaranteed otherwise you're putting yourself at risk uh when you're sort of tracking this issue now uh Pennsylvania is a long way away but as we'll see when we get into this my mind immediately goes to what if this wasn't right because my my own sort of Intel career incident response sort of mentality is okay this I think worst case scenario then walk it back right you think worst case then walk it back if you can so my first thought is goes immediately to you know the 1980s uh where a a a an exceptionally well-known Soviet Doctrine at the time I think it was it's so well known that I think they even made a whole episode of The Americans about it or they put it in an episode or something like that and uh in which one of the opening sort of um the opening moves I should say the opening chess moves of World War II is for Soviet sleeper agents all over the United States to start sniping politicians all at once in unison right Mass sort of decapitation strike on senior leadership military officials things like that really some some cold war level stuff that we don't really see so much so you know thankfully that never really came to fruition that never really happened however the plan is there and that's what I that's what I go to so I start thinking in terms of okay Trump's just been shot uh well let's check on Biden see what he's doing you know let's check on Lloyd Austin let's check on the D director of NORAD let's check on their families so we start looking to see okay is this an isolated incident well we now know this really isn't an isolated incident but um in terms of the actual like kinetic actions uh it is an AOL incident it was one shooter maybe more time will tell right um I don't want to get kind of drawn into that right now uh and get distracted on that but the uh the fact of the matter is is that we didn't see attacks in New York or Miami or Atlanta or LA or Seattle we didn't see any of that but I was looking for for that so in addition to working through this checklist here my initial thoughts are with this specific incident to make sure that this isn't World War I breaking out okay so I check a lot more strategic things a lot faster and a lot more quicker than say some of the other stuff on this on the next page which is the incident incident response monitoring this is just a list of all the cool Intel stuff that you as a citizen can monitor and check almost all of this stuff's off grid um so if you have the right setup you can do all of this well for me you know I of course one of the very first things that I do before I get any of this started is I fire up my radio and uh I'm kind of working right now on a sort of new uh HF radio setup so uh which is I guess you could call it like a portable talk but um not not not really but uh more to come on this later when you when you get into the the business of of working with information um you tend to need more than one radio and this is one of the radios that I set up um usually I'll try to rock two uh HF radios at the same time uh running with two different computers uh sometimes three uh the during the incident I had one up first and then I got the second one up and going cuz the second one I have to string up and antenna for I can't just plug in to a pre-existing antenna uh but in any case uh setting up the radio is important to do first so that js8 call and the ghost net stuff here uh can have time to work and you can have time to start developing heartbeats and start linking together I know a lot of you out there who probably aren't invested in in the sort of ghostnet idea uh would really appreciate some more information on this and trust me I'm getting there I'm getting there will I will I will break this down more simply than I have I'm sorry that I had to start at kind of like a midlevel to Advanced um situation but uh we'll get back to the basics the basics are are harder to teach than some of the advanced stuff actually so uh I'll I'll I'll figure that out in due time but you know when when the clock is ticking chop chop you know I don't have time to explain all of this which is why it's important to read this stuff ahead of time um so I think that's a good segue to talking about the wire reports that I wrote uh and some of the stuff that's in the wire reports that probably didn't make any sense to anyone if unless you are familiar with some of the stuff I've talked about in the past so if someone forwarded a wire report to you and you have no idea about any other like content I've made in the past uh I'm sure a lot of this would be kind of confusing to you so let me take a moment just to go over some of the the more uh confusing aspects of uh the two wire reports that I put out on this issue and hopefully that will show you along along with uh going over this basic inocent response uh cycle here uh hopefully this will show you some of the things that I'm checking on uh as time goes on so right here we have uh this is the post that I made on Twitter this is the first wire report that I did this is uh the fastest one that I could get get out um you know within a reasonable amount of time just a few minutes notice uh and this was posted at 7:03 p.m. on July 13th so um let's let's go over one of the very first things that probably confused a lot of people and that is the Precedence right at the very very top right the very top of that message if you'll hear when I record these I say precedence is blank right most of the time it's precedence is routine routine standard message there are four message precedent levels I'm very Loosely going by the four precedent levels that have been established by military Doctrine by Naval Communications Doctrine so on and so forth so routine is obviously routine it's just like it sounds the next one up in terms of importance the one you need to get out a little bit faster is priority I've sent out a few of those over the over the past uh almost year I've been doing these well regularly at least uh and priorities just a little bit more important uh immediate is read this right now sort of thing um it it is something that is immediately threatening to the Homeland things of like a 911 nature you know president or presidential candidate being you attempted as you know to be assassinated sort of thing this is a textbook case of send an immediate message now the last one is flash flash traffic is like you know stop what you're doing immediately take cover sort of thing flash traffic messages I Pro this one should have been a flash I probably should have sent that one out as a flash uh because it's so so important um we may see a flash message but but my own line of thinking is that flash messages for me for me to send out a flash message that means that I'm Pro it's probably not going to be on Twitter there will definitely not be an audio version for it because I'm going to be typing it's going to be full of typos just like a real uh you know military flash traffic message it's going to be sent out one or two sentences and that will be it it will be followed up by an immediate message or a routine message or a priority message or something like that which is exactly what I did so I sent out the first message that was uh a uh notific indication that something had gone down very um uh very broad uh strategic message not a lot of details just kind of like a notification you know and as we can see from you know the uh message itself the video version that I did I I'm cranking these out I've got a template and everything ready to go but unfortunately I forgot to change the date on the template so uh the video uh and the audio that went along with this I forgot that it wasn't July 12th it was July 13th so so I had that typo in there and that was probably quite confusing now I can change the text on a on a post right but I can't change text that's embedded in a video so I have to I had to put out a brief correction which I did on Twitter here you can say that you can see that I I corrected that but still something to learn for later you know um little typos really need to be kind of avoided Even In the Heat of the Moment there no excuse it really needs to be you know tightened up a little bit more so uh anyway let's let's talk about some of the details of of the things that I mentioned so like I like I said starting here with the home front Pennsylvania I outlined what happened with regards to the shooting uh however on the next line down I put uh a brief note strategic indications and warnings of note this is where I was starting to just kind of compile all of my notes because again and we can write manuals we can write standard operating procedures we can read handbooks we can read Doctrine we can read white papers we can do all of this we can train we can train we can train but when when the chips are down and something happens around the world there are always going to be exceptions and one of the major exceptions for this is I wanted to make sure I took a more strategic view as opposed to more tactical view uh I know a lot of people were focused on the events of the shooter Butler and the event and you know all sorts of things like that but uh once I figured out that this is in the first few minutes after this Trump is okay uh there were fatalities in the crowd uh unfortunately shooter neutralized situation has kind of been locked down now I can start you know that that that TW minute little just search on social media because this was all live streamed right that little two-minute search on social media gave me the confidence to say all right well let's look strategically now because this may be if this was worst case scenario say this was a a sort of opening opening shots of World War II I would expect to see more of these incidents happening in short order so I want to make sure that the same thing isn't happening in New York I want to make sure the same thing isn't happening in Seattle or Beijing or someplace like that you know we want to make sure that this isn't something really big so I started putting notes uh in this first initial wire and one of the first things that I check is aircraft which aircraft are up uh right now in throughout the United States because that's a huge indicator uh and I noted that there were three e6b uh Mercury aircraft Airborne over the United States in in US airspace at the time now for those of you who probably don't understand the significance of that e6b mercury aircraft are the taco aircraft the take charge and move out aircraft basically these are the air craft that if a sort of Doctor Strange Love situation were to develop and we launch our bombers we launch our submarines uh go time we've got a few hours sort of thing these aircraft are the ones that are going to give the command they're going to send the E you know Crimson Tide right they're going to send the emergency action message to the submarines or to the bomber aircraft um the the system has been revamped quite a bit over the years um but these are the aircraft that can do that there are landbased options for sure but generally speaking the reason we keep an eye on e6b aircraft is because if you've got three over American airspace and they're just kind of chilling they're hanging out they're doing maybe some training here and there you I saw that I wish I had gotten a screenshot of it at the time to show you what I was looking at but there was one off the coast off the West Coast there was one down in the gulf and there was one off the east coast so fairly typical summer training profile there's almost always one of these uh Airborne at any given time in the United States so if you see one flying around it's not just an indication of oh my God World War 3 is going to start no they they train most of the time what's going to be really sketchy is if I'm looking at three aircraft on the map and they disappear because they turn their transponders off that's a big indicator that World War III just started uh because these aircraft what they're going to do is they're going to go to their pre pre-established Communications boxes they're going to tra a several mile long antenna out the back of the aircraft and they're going to transmit a radio message down to submarines waiting to launch the nuclear devices so again keeping an eye on e6b aircraft having a uh an adsb setup so that you can track them yourself and you get a notification when they're coming overhead that's a pretty you know interesting thing if you wanted to kind of get involved with that I've covered this quite a lot in uh the you know tactical Sig stuff that I've done uh so far but for those of you who aren't sort of aware of the importance of this uh I wanted to note it and I also noted just just to clarify for people who don't have the time to check this stuff right you know if you're on the road if you're in your office and all you see is a text and you can click on this wire report and pull it up you want to be able to do this because you might not be able to get to some of these platforms on on your phone or something so I also noted let everyone know that the e6b aircraft are active and Airborne but I also noted that none appear to have diverted from their course or Mission and at least two of them had had conducted nor normal training exercises that day so that's something that uh is is reassuring so you've got the concern and then reassurement right worst case and walk it back that's what we're trying to do right the next uh statement that I made is the hfgcs or and the baret so this is the high frequency Global Communication System it's the same thing but it's on the ground well it's not the same thing okay it's very different but but it's sort of the same thing but it's on the ground and this is for communicating from the ground to bomber aircraft in the air so again all of these messages are encrypted so we can pick them up uh we can receive them and we can count the characters in them and there's a few people that do this is like they're you know this is the kind of ENT thing they've decided to kind of uh pinpoint in on it's very fascinating if you want to get into tracking hfgcs or baronet messages um but most of the time these messages are they are they're not encrypted in the way that you might want to think they the messages sent out in plain text so you're know so you're not just going to get static but the message is coded right so we can count the number of characters that are sent the Russians unencrypted analog right because when World War III breaks out you want the ability for any radio basically to pick up the message and you want the least uh problems with your radio uh when it comes to Russian aircraft plus they haven't really made the jump to digital just yet but you see the idea uh these are messages that are sent from ground stations um around the United States and they're sent to aircraft in the air that we can't see usually because they have their transponders turned off so if we launched a few b2s uh b2s maybe uh and they've got nukes on board and they're in holding patterns over North Dakota or over can more more likely over Northern Canada the hfgcs would be sending them the go codes to go bomb Targets in Russia so if there's a huge spike a huge spike in hfgcs traffic like we don't know what they're saying but we know they're saying something hugely important especially considering what's going around in the world tracking the hfgcs stuff is usually also how you can determine if there's a drill because chances are if you see a huge burst of hfgcs traffic on the frequencies that we know to Monitor and the Russians aren't doing the same thing with their baronet then we know that it's an exercise generally speaking like I mentioned the baronet is the Russian version of this and we've gotten a lot we've gotten a lot of information about the baronet which was mostly theoretical up until the Ukraine war um but now that we've gotten a lot more information about the baronet uh we know a lot of call signs a lot of frequencies schedules things like that uh because the Russians use the baronet to launch attacks on Ukraine so they've kind of changed this up a little bit because they've gotten wise that the ukrainians and the Americans and everyone in the whole world is aware that they take they take one of their bear bombers I supposed to called the baronet they take one of their bear bombers up and they put it up in the sky and they start doing you know patterns and they go to their holding holding box and the baronet sends them the the authorization to launch their missiles which you know due to geography even when Russia is you know uh launching their cruise missiles they launch them from a long way off so sometimes at least during the initial days of the invasion Ukraine had like notice of like an hour some some guy was sitting probably in Kiev or in Washington and uh was noticing oh oh dear uh there's a lot of barut traffic uh that means there's probably going to be a cruise missile strike inbound on Kiev so that's how we're able to sort of track that again Russia has learned from this but generally speaking if World War II is going to break out the hfgcs and the baronet are going to be hopping because that's pretty much the only thing they have uh to communicate with strategic assets right we like to think that um the world of the military super secret nuke stuff is all like highspeed James Bond mission impossible kind of stuff and it could not be further from the truth all of this stuff goes back to the 1950s all of this is 1950s technology because it works and it's reliable uh so we we can we can add that to our list of things to look out for right so that's why I put that in there and then again me thinking more strategically I want to make sure hey this would be a fantastic time for China to pull some stuff down there in the South China Sea so I wanted to make sure that everyone was in fact aware uh that there were uh Chinese aircraft incursions at the exact same time as we have been expecting for years now uh it's fairly uh within the realm of possibility that China will be conducting a training exercise that will suddenly miraculously just change course at the last minute and become an invasion hard this this is debatable in the defense community and I I personally think there's going to be a lot more indicators in that but if China wanted to pull some Shenanigans like if they wanted to go down there and mess around with the Philippines and scarber a sh if we wanted to do something at kenman Island per perhaps you know they uh would probably seek to do this during a time when the United States is in shambles right so um this kind of highlights this immediate this immediate um notice highlights a few things doesn't it it highlights what's going on locally the the reason for this important message to notify people of what's going on but it's also start me starting to work through some of the some of the Strategic stuff right uh as it becomes more clear so so again I can write manuals all day long but really manuals just speak in generality right they they're just a general path I already diverted from what I normally do uh because this incident was such a case study so uh let me just briefly mention that time management is probably one of the most important things that you can have if you're trying to be analytical during a real world crisis time management is absolutely crucial and I can't say I'm an expert at any of this but especially time management however there's a couple of different ways you can do it what I prefer to do if I've got like 15 minutes to get some information together what you can do is you know of course work expands to fill the time a lot it so if you only got 15 minutes you can't be expected to produce too much but what I prefer to do is look at ordinarily ordinarily what I prefer to do is look at local what's going on in Butler Pennsylvania okay check got some basic knowledge on that now let's look at Pennsylvania the whole state see what's going on there okay now once we've got kind of a good scenario nothing's really going on let's look at the nation is anything else going on around the country okay well uh you know see what else is going on around the country and then the world is there any you know major event going on around the world can you imagine if the the houthis in Yemen decided to do a USS coal attempt at least um during this time can you imagine if the Russians decided to hack starlink and and and do some DDOS attacks on starlink to bring it down or degrade its services can you imagine if the Chinese decided to attack Wall Street you know even though trading wasn't going on it was a weekend right that could still have a pretty big effect and everyone would be chasing their own tail trying to figure out what is going on this is a classic Russian tactic this is a classic Chinese tactic they love watching the Americans scramble around so I'm absolutely astounded they didn't do this uh because I was expecting it which is why I chose to to of very you know Loosely keep an eye on global events now like I mentioned you can go local you know Regional you know n National and then Global you can do that uh but what I did in this case was a little different and it's kind of a a different situation if you have a more strategic view of things I went local Global Regional global national Global and then ended up with global again so I tended to bounce back and forth between each to the layers to make sure that there wasn't some kind of you know Beirut bombing situation or USS coal situation or some kind of Taiwan straight thing or some kind of massive offensive in Ukraine that's going to involve America or something like that because the the global news takes a while to spin through now uh fortunately none of this happened none of this happened this was just a a an isolated incident localized to Butler there was nothing going on anywhere else but we did not know this at the time and if we're talking about working that first 10 minutes of the issue you know you got to start working on these things so kind of a chaotic situation isn't it um well at that moment that I uh I kind of made a sort of an executive decision so to speak uh once I had pushed this report out and I had a good basis for understanding that there is not really a global thing there's not anything major going on uh around the planet this is this is an isolated assassination attempt right one time made that call that the danger was over the shooter was neutralized there were fatalities unfortunately but the fatalities were not going to continue this was not going to affect anyone else um you know once the event had reached the sort of pause right uh I went ahead and called for a ghostnet drill so I called a snap I called for a snap ghost net drill I posted about it on Twitter here uh and I put it on all the platforms that I kind of you know manage and this was kind of a way of reminding people who had not already gotten on ghostnet uh to try right this is exactly what we're training for and we we we really really really do not get hardly any uh training opportunities where we can take advantage of the chaos the stress the adrenaline the the fact that we didn't choose the time we didn't choose the date um we didn't you know you've got 5 minutes to get your antenna up go sort of thing thing you know I can call for SNAP drills all day long and I have done this before and I will probably do this more um in addition to the regular comms Nets this is not you know this kind of breaks breaks the ghost net away from what you know I think most of their ham stuff is which is just a hobby sort of thing no this is operational stuff right we're we're we're staying within the parameters of the hobby because it's all on HF radio so you know there's really no way other than to stay within the parameter of the the ham radio hobby to use HF radio right um so you have to kind of come at it from the hobby angle it's not like LMR it's not like uh you know Business Band stuff you have to really come at HF through the hobby right but this is a good reminder uh to to uh make sure your gear Works get it up and going this is your test right we don't get very many of them like I said I can call for SNAP drills all the time but I can't duplicate adrenal okay I cannot duplicate a hectic World situation I can't duplicate fear okay I can't induce that so taking advantage of a real world event to create a real world Readiness test you know just like from the movie Crimson Tide right um all of you guys remember the scene where Jee Hackman calls a uh a missile drill when they've got a real fire on board the vessel and that's a a way of determining or or showing the the mindset that a lot of military commanders have to be in which is when when the whole world about you is falling down you still have to be operationally effective and this is a fantastic example to make this work because you know the next time that a snap drill is called it probably won't be a drill it will probably just be an activation you see what I mean so um at some point you know we we train we train we train but at some point we're going to have to start training a little harder and pushing ourselves making ourselves uncomfortable embarrassing ourselves you know how embarrassing is it to get all the way out to the field and realize if you got your coax or if you got some tiny little $2 Chinese adapter and know your whole Radio setup doesn't work right how you know how embarrassing is it when you've got adrenaline you're you're tired you're out of breath you're you're probably a little bit you know on edge or maybe even a little bit fearful depending on what the event is and you forgot how to set up js8 call you forgot how to do the GPS time sync you forgot that right people forget to do the GPS time sync or the the time sync thing on JSA call they forget to do that during a regular Comm window most of the time I've done it I've forgotten all the time so now did you forget did you forget during during the uh uh adrenaline did you forget when you're you're you've got your phone you're looking through Twitter you're reading you know wire reports you the whole world's burning down right and you still are expected to be a professional uh when when it comes to Communications so again you can't replicate this stuff very easily so I thought it was a great great training opportunity and I will say I am absolutely proud of how it turned out there were dozens of people on ghost net even before I got on ghostnet there were people on ghostnet sending heartbeats sending pings there were a few people talking about the the assassination attempt sort of thing not a lot of the information was accurate that's okay that's perfectly okay we can work back right the hardest part is getting the radio to work it's not that hard to teach a radio guy how to be an Intel guy if they're motivated right and vice versa you can do the same thing backwards but again prioritizing report formats salute reports salt reports whatever you want to do I saw a few of those um you know it there's there's a lot of hecticness to this sort of project but this is you being able to do something when the world is on fire and I think the psychological nature of having something a checklist to go down something to put in your hands right something that you can do when the whole world is panicking this helps okay it helps and I I I wanted to mention the psychological aspect of that as well you don't ever want people to um to to have the uh to to sit there and be doing nothing right especially when there's a a panicked situation going on you want people all right well let's let's hop on you know the local repeater if you se you may never hop on a repeater any other time of your life but cuz you just hate it it but you may want to hop on it you know during an emergency or something just so that you have something to do uh you're able to talk to other people you're able to work through it you're able to calm down a little bit it really does help you know um you you don't want your your guys to be sitting there twiddling their thumbs helpless you know you want to give them something to do so if I could tell some guy to go all right go string that attent up we're going to get another radio up we're going to get some ion 2G some Al going right we've loaded the code plug we're going to we're going to get that going too that this sort of thing you know it's not just busy work it's productive busy work uh sometimes now for me I'm working this issue by myself right so I don't I don't have time for that but if if it helps for you if you want to give your kids something to do maybe they're a little bit stressed and they say hey let's let's let's let's get into radio here let's let's get this going let's you know make sure our flashlights work let's you know make sure our generator's got enough fuel let's crank it up and see if it works you know um during issues like this where we've got the store we've got the information we know that it that the event happened and it hasn't spread right it's not a strategic risk now we can start you know mitigating some of the more the more the more mental stuff but uh I thought that might be handy to mention so I'll mention it right so after some time I uh put together another wire report uh with just some more amplifying information right because you can't usually generally speaking when you push out a super fast report you can't get all the details in it uh and I push out an immediate report is very short and I wanted to convey both some more details of the shooting and also some more strategic stuff as well so um my notes on the Pennsylvania situation are really just to get people to think okay let's start using more military doctrinal language here when we're describing this because this was not an active shooter situation um in the terms that you might think it was right this is not just some lone gunman right this is the attempted removal of a key leader from the battle space okay if we're trying to use some more doctrinal ter terminology we can say that the shooter occupied a vantage point that served as key terrain right where is your copy of the battle staff smart book right key terrain right big purple k key terrain having an understanding of this is very important so this was my way of uh conveying some details of the shooting you know while staying within the framework of a doctrinal source but anyway moving on to the uh Pacific section again I wanted to provide some more amplifying information because just a couple of days prior or actually I think that same day yeah that same day I put out a a rollup an Intel update video like a a long format video in which I detailed the Chinese pln task force the Chinese Naval task force off the coast of Alaska in the Bearing Sea now I don't know if any of you out there have a map but that's a pretty long way from China you know Chinese vessels in the Bearing Sea I don't think it's the first time they've done it uh it may it may be I don't know I hadn't looked into it but you know just something to keep in mind I don't think the Chinese are going to start you know World War III very efficiently with four warships four surface vessels at that uh but again if the Chinese wanted to poke us when we're down and they love doing that then I would have expected did something to occur there especially since there's a coast guard vessel just a standard cutter out there shadowing them but again that intel was stale by a few days so I don't know where the Chinese ships are at like the Coast Guard hasn't said anything you know I there's really no information on it so I wanted to remind people hey this is kind of a thing that you need to be aware of right uh also on with regards to airspace stuff I wanted to mention because I forgot to mention initially I wanted to mention uh tfrs so again right when Trump is shot is when I would expect to see a Chinese spy balloon you know over Montana or something like that so if this was a coordinated thing now of course the spyin thing takes weeks to get to America unless they're launched domestically which I think some of them are but uh this is exactly exactly the time that I would want to see the Chinese testing us because they know you know look it's become very palpably obvious that the the commander-in-chief of the US Armed Forces is not exactly you know a strategic asset if you know what I mean so we know that Lloyd Austin's running the show and we also know Lloyd Austin is not a healthy man he's got some very serious medical issues and he doesn't appear to be you know um up to up to scratch on that as well so you know uh if I were the Chinese that's exactly what I would do oh we find out something major is going on in the US let's poke let's poke let's poke let's let's do something you know I'm surprised the Russians didn't like you know the Russians at at all times the Russians having a cooler or two off sitting off the east coast just to mess with us and to give our p8s and p3s something to go look at but I'm surprised it didn't like surface and send a message or something like that or like you know do something to mess with us because they love doing this stuff so again didn't see any of that but I wanted to make people aware also I wanted to call attention to the fact that the FAA did did not issue any tfrs there were no airspace closures and I absolutely would have expected that uh because I mean look we we issue Nationwide ground stops because a Boeing aircraft has a loose bolt why did we not why FAA why did we not issue a ground stop for 30 minutes that's it nationwide ground stop for 30 minutes you know we don't need to close airspace just Nationwide ground stop 30 minutes that reduces the number of aircraft that are currently in in the sky right just hold everybody on the ground for 30 minutes or so till we figure out if this is a bigger deal that didn't happen but I would have expected it to and I'm going to keep checking for that the next time one of these incidents happens uh so just something to keep in mind tfrs no Tams I got a whole video on that please check that out um and this kind of shows the importance of that because there was no no temp there was no airspace closure over Trump's speech that you know what you know that was Str I would have expected that there was no security notam around his speech location even though that was one of the most open uh areas you know in you know the history of the world and you've got these three red barns here which are great great visual landmarks from the air you see what I'm you see where I'm going with this so this could have been so much worse this could have been so much worse and we would have been standing around the same way you know because some kid gets up on a roof with a rifle and causes this much shambles can you imagine if it was a nation state actor if they really wanted to dance good grief man anyway um you know check for tfrs check for airspace closures that'll also give you an indication of something's going on like oh why is this no Tam around Northern Michigan there's no reason for that well let's look into it shall we anyway that's something that I would expect to to look into again I also wanted to to kind of reiterate I'm still monitoring the hfgcs I'm still monitoring the baronet for frequencies now for my location here in the US I can pick up the hft GCS pretty good but the baronet not so much um you know I I I hesitate to think that I would be able to pick up a baronet message from my present location so I got to use web sdrs in Russia to pick that stuff up and for whatever reason the Russians haven't caught on to that yet so either way um and the analyst comments for this one this is where the tone shifts drastically doesn't it I wanted to point out during this incident the manipulation uh of the information space so we saw social media becoming basically unusable uh the websites are fine they can handle the amount of traffic but you know in terms of usable information you know everything's kind of the feeds are clogged right uh it's hard for to to get anything and the number of bots on Twitter man it is crazy the amount of fake information was put out immediately by very large account in some cases very large influencers very large accounts blatantly false information there is absolutely no way it's true and he gets pushed out there like it's fact I spent several hours just trying to find more details you know anything helps right but all I get is just 4chan post right the 4chan Scandal right you think the sniper who shot the you know bad guy is going to hop on 4chan within two hours of you know a major shooting no this guy's not even going to be on the internet this guy's going to be you know sequestered this is going to be a huge you know investigation he's not going to be posting on foran I can't believe that I have to that that anyone would believe that and yet here we are you know so anyway um you know I think people just want something to latch on to and look man if you're going to latch on to something latch on to some of the stuff that I've latched on to because at least it's a little bit more productive you know hop on the baronet you know try try to you know work some HF stuff anyway uh and then I also mentioned at the bottom of that uh the bottom of the second report that just kind of plant the seed for later just for posterity right because those people out there in the field who are data archivers man they have got a tough job right even people who just like to hoard data for fun man it was it's it was a rough weekend for you guys out there because basically trying to scrape the internet of any detail before the FBI goes in there and deletes it was a tough tough task right so far guy social media non-existent he's a computer science guy computer nerd with no social media history okay ideologically motivated but so so extreme that he didn't want to share any of his ideology with anyone else so you know it really is important for the data preservation efforts to to occur especially in the the few minutes after an incident like this super super important uh and you know I'm not one of those people but I know there are a lot of people out there who do that sort of thing and um we we'll have time over the next 20 30 40 years to debate this uh debate this this incident so yeah hopefully this this helps uh some of you out there I know that some of this more long uh you know verbose kind of content isn't for everyone but uh hopefully this shows some of the more you know behind the scenes kind of things that I do when I'm looking at at incidents like this um when it comes to assassination attempts on a president when it comes to you know sniper attacks things like that I am interested in it and I do care I really do especially considering there were fatalities here you know these people innocent people lost their lives in this attack so this is not that the outcome of this was not good however stepping back stepping back and having him more strategically minded prepared citizen sort of mindset I I think that this could have been so much worse and I am looking at all of the indicators that kind of point to um gross and competency on on a very very embarrassing scale so again just keeping an eye out there there doesn't seem to be any interest there was no interest in any of this amongst the feds like like I mentioned earlier E6 BS carried on with their normal exercise is no problem Biden his security detail I would have imagined that Biden would have been shuffled off stage man you know like you have an incident where a his opponent is getting shot well if it what if it was a malign actor that had him in you know targeted as well so why did the Secret Service not pull him off stage one it would have given him an excuse to not you know have to do an interview or anything for a couple of days but uh they didn't they didn't increase the security at the White House no military base increased security no strategic aircraft went up no combat Air Patrol aircraft went up you know it's like our country just somehow forgot the importance of this now granted I know that Donald Trump is not president right now he is a candidate but he's also a former president the same thing would happen if this if this happened to Obama right the same level of importance but uh perhaps a little bit more more importantly you know considering uh the status of the world today if you know what I mean so um you know some some people might go so far as to say that hm the government not doing any of this strategic stuff is kind of an indication of something is it I don't know if I'd go that far you know I think that uh one of the bigger questions of this generation is going to be inconfidence or malice was this just people being stupid at at every single chain in that chain of causation was every Link in that chain an idiot or was this a deliberate thing that because that included a few idiots so it didn't succeed but I don't know all I know is that uh I've got a list of things to look at strategic indications and warnings look and see what the world is doing figure out within that initial time window is this something more serious and then once we figure out okay it's not this is an assassination attempt so it is very serious or fatality so this is horrific right this is not good but it's not like missiles are flying right now that's the way that I that I took this uh from the very start because we're talking about removing key leaders from the battle space again doctrinal terms here uh this is the kind of thing that you have to be concerned about you know if it was say a gas pipeline you know getting a Cyber attack my response would be completely different night and day right completely different right but because this is such a high-profile thing because of this brutality uh you know this this was not good and I I approached things a certain way and I tried to I'm trying to kind of realize all right look this was a Lous test right you know this was a test for everyone this was a test for the people in the crowd where they prepared you know did they have medical supplies on them you know it's 2024 if you're not carrying an ifac on you basically at all times what are you doing you know especially in a crowded venue where you know Trump has literally been directly threatened by the you know the establishment um you know look at the language that has come out you know from the left since then like it's like every mainstream media Outlet is just so crestf Fallen that the the potential assassin missed you know I can't think of a more inappropriate response to this on a strategic you know level but I don't know maybe it's just me but it SM it seems like the the smell of the DC Beltway has changed quite a bit and it's gotten a lot more foul over the past few years more so than in the past you know it's never really been a good area but still man you know I can't think of a more inappropriate response and I don't look at that in terms of well okay people are just immoral or you know just angry or something like that or they're stupid they don't understand what they're saying you know uh I look at that in terms of just you know duly noted duly noted these people are quite serious uh and I think a lot of people are are looking at that the same way so you know I don't want to get into the politics of it too much but this matters for this you know it really does if you if you're looking through basic incident response you're trying to take the professional you know uh colored shirt view of things you know if you're trying to you know remove political bias from an analysis sort of thing you can't you can't ignore this stuff anymore right you know the fact that we've got mainstream media reporters and very big celebrities saying oh shucks the Assassin failed that comes back to this First Column right here personal security because let me tell you something if I lived in a city that was full of people like this I wouldn't want to get popped by some idiot who was motivated because they're pushing right there there is not a cooling of tensions right the White House can do their little cute little press statement so they want to so oh we need to calm down right and then they immediately say we're going to keep calling Trump a threat to democracy threat threat threat right you know less than 24 hours later like you know either way you know politics I have no I have real I'm exasperated with generally speaking but look man you know this is one of those things where if I lived in a more liberal area I would be very very concerned I would say you know what um based on all these people who are you know calling for further violence against Trump you know maybe let's let's put off that you know grocery shopping another day you know let's let's maybe let's maybe not go to the park today let's maybe you know stick around our neighborhood let's maybe you know not go on the long walk today you know let's let's take a shorter walk around our neighborhood you know sort of thing just something to keep in mind you know I I really hate to to kind of bring in some of these more negative things to it but you really have to think about this stuff now because a nationwide incident something that happened in Pennsylvania has the ability to affect me and you right so it's not fear-mongering to kind of think of these things no we don't have to dwell on it but it would be wise to consider this and I think that coming back to a more um succinct plan if you want to use this as a reference good if you want to use some of the stuff I've already done and some of the training I've already you know kind of out outlined uh some of the products I've already made on this oh you know by all means you know uh this is a good way to get started you can build your own I'm working on some more things to make that a little bit easier for people out there but you know it's uh the world's getting to be a pretty crazy kinetic place you know I I I think things will calm down one way or the other after the election but right now man it's pretty crazy you know uh at some point we're going to have to reach some kind of equilibrium um but uh uh you know really uh for now uh it's really really important to to sit down have a a a calm way of of reacting to things and if you're in the information space and you want to like put those kind of skills to good use you know then you've got time to do that so you know we need to take advantage of the training opportunities to really test ourselves and see what we're you know really made of when it comes to this kind of thing because we don't get uh too many training exercises there's not going to be too many training incidents that come up there's going to be more along the lines of real stuff come up so again hopefully this was helpful uh I don't know um when I'm going to have this edited and out but I hope I'll have it done by this coming week so that we can kind of get this out the door but for right now I've got a lot more work to do I've procrastinated a lot of other stuff as well uh this this whole thing is kind of derailed my my schedule I'm already behind a lot of other stuff so so that's pretty much all I've
