-National Events-
NY: No updates on potential Trump arrest incident.
Washington D.C. - While the world is waiting for the arrest of Trump, recent documents have come to light regarding the Biden family's own crimes. Recently discovered Wells Fargo emails (confirming a wire transfer) confirm that Hunter Biden received $1,000,032.00 from convicted Chinese spy Patrick Ho (whom Hunter himself called "the spy chief of China". Emails recovered from Hunter's laptop strongly indicate this payment was made as a bribe for Biden to provide Ho with the names of certain FBI agents.
-International Events-
United Kingdom: The U.K. MoD has revealed efforts to arm Ukraine with tank shells containing Depleted Uranium (DU). These are intended to supplement the 14 Challenger II tanks that have been gifted to Ukraine. DU munitions are made using the byproducts of Uranium enrichment, so DU shells are not radioactive, but rather used due to their high density, which makes them ideal for use in armor piercing munitions. However, DU munitions are infamous for causing health problems; troops as far back as the Gulf War know the dangers of getting close to vehicles that have been destroyed with DU ammunition. In response, Russia has issued statements to the effect that they will treat the use of DU shells as "an act of terrorism" or the use of a "dirty bomb". These statements are made despite the fact that one of Russia's newest additions to her tank arsenal is the 3BM60 "Svinets-2" round for use in 125mm smoothbore tank barrels. What little supply Russia has been able to manufacture of these new rounds has been sent to the front lines for use in Ukraine. These rounds use a penetrator made of Depleted Uranium.
Analyst Comments: Russia's response to the use of Depleted Uranium shells in Ukraine is a classic Cold War era response. Russia knows full well that the use of DU shells is standard practice nowadays, and Russia uses DU shells herself, specifically in Ukraine. Russia's propaganda efforts are intended to prey on unknowing Americans, who see the word "Uranium" and automatically think the worst. The use of DU shells is an escalation, but only an extremely minor one (compared to previous actions).
